The Kromeriz Castle - Tour

In 1998 the Kromeriz Castle, it's gardens and the Kromeriz Flower Gardens were proclaimed Monuments of outstanding Universal Value and listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

In this section you can take a fast 'virtual' tour of the Kromeriz Castle.

 

Believe it or not, the Kromeriz Castle contains one of the most important collections of paintings in Europe.

This collections contains works of art from;
Anthonys Van Dyck,
Pieter Brueghel,
Paolo Veronese
and one of Tiziano's most famous paintings -
"Apollo and Mars".

Even in one of the most high
points of summer - July, you
can always find a parking space for your car, and also content for your empty stomach in one of the many street cafes restaurants and taverns facing the main square.

Anche nel mese di 'punta', Luglio, si trova sempre parcheggio sia per la macchina, che contenuto per lo stomaco vuoto in uno dei tanti locali che si affacciano sulla piazza.

The old Kings, Archbishops and Counts didn't only enjoy hunting but also took pleasure in the occasional game of billiards.

The Castle has the largest gardens in Kromeriz, with small lakes, romantic tree avenues and english gardens such as this one.
