How to use our
organization of dental treatment appointments services assistance

Czech Dental Treatment NEWS 2008 :

As of February 2008 prospecting dental patients can now reach me directly by phoning my dental treatment bookings mobile nr :

This section describes how you can receive the dental treatment appointment organization assistance services that we offer to anyone in need of dental treatment in the Czech Republic in Kromeriz or Zlin who would like to be assisted.

We now work with four dentists.
Two in Zlin and two in Kromeriz and depending on which one has available dental appointment time we will get your treatment booked with that dentist.

There are now daily flights - even during the winter - back and forth from Stansted to Brno with Ryan air.
Brno is 65 km from Kromeriz and 99 km from Zlin.
Most of our Irish, Scottish and UK dental patients use these flights.

Another option is to fly directly to Bratislava
( from Ireland ) which is a 2 hour drive from Kromeriz.

GETTING DENTAL TREATMENT IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC IN KROMERIZ AND ZLIN:

The procedure is as follows:

1 - FIRST STEP]
If you haven't already, please check out the dental treatment services description and price list:

2 - SECOND STEP]

Here you have two options:

1 - the wisest option :
visit your dentist and get her to tell you what dental treatment you need - see below.

2 - if the above is not viable :
If you can't visit your dentist, don't have a dentist, or your dentist is a complete asshole and will not be understanding when you tell him that you are going elsewhere ... then assess by yourself what you need.

Easier done than one may think and if you have tooth ache then you probably need fillings, if a tooth has cracked then you need a crown, if your old 6 teeth bridge is crumbling then you need a new one, if various teeth are wobbling and hurt then they are gone and you need them extracted and then to get a bridge or implants, if your gums are bleeding but the teeth are still stable then you need gum disease treatment etc. etc
This is the informtion you should send us if you can't visit your dentist.

If you can go and see your dentist .....
then get him to explain to you all the technicalities and costs (for your own comparison) of the dental work you need done. You don't have to tell him that you're going elsewhere to save money.
We suggest you do tell him.
If your dentist is honest and fair he will understand your need to save money but will still offer useful advice and a correct analysis of what you need doing.

[ Unfortunately, we have since discovered that many UK and Irish dentist hate to be told that their patients are going elsewhere to get much better, more humane, faster and cheaper dental treatment.
In some cases these same dentists have refused to give the patient their x-rays which the patient has already paid for.]

You should be aware of the fact that if your local dentist has done a digital x-ray on you - and you have paid for it - the dentist is OBLIGED by law to submitting that x-ray to you.

If paid for - a copy of the actual digital x-ray belongs to you and you are free to take it away.
If he refuses - you have the right to report him to the UK/Scottish/Irish/anywhere in the World dentistry association, the local council, your local MP, and even the health ministry.
Try saying the above statement to your dentist and watch in amazement as he hands over your x-ray.

UK dentists are now claiming that they have to keep your x-ray for their records for up to two years.
Absolute codswallop!
A digital copy can be made even by a six year old and the dentist still gets to keep his copy.

If you absolutely cannot get an x-ray, or are worried about upsetting your dentist (and you will believe us) - then don't worry - you can get the x-rays done here, but it does help the Czech dentists here in being able to offer you a more exact analysis and cost quote if they get your x-ray before you plan your dental treatment in the Czech Republic.

3 - THIRD STEP ]
Send the treatment details, either those of your own assessment or from your dentist possibly along with a zipped copy of the x-ray you got from your dentist to us via e-mail....

The X-rays, as mentioned above, are useful if you can get them ... but:
If you are sending x-rays then please format them into .jpg format and do not send 2 MB of file.
A .jpg file should not be larger than 500k.

Also please include the probable/plausible dates when you think you would like to arrive in Kromeriz or Zlin.

And if you have read the dental treatment description page you will have noted that some treatments can be done right away, others may need a wait of 3 to 4 days between the first and second session and others may include a healing period of up to 3 to 5 month.
So do plan your visit or more visits accordingly.

Also ...please make sure that YOU understand any gobbledygook your dentist has written down for you concerning your dental treatment requirements before sending us a list of dental treatment in Latin.

If this is not crystal clear to you - how do you expect us to understand it ?

If you cannot go to a dentist - then please - at least write a detailed explanation of what your dental problem is.

We realize that you are by now fuming because we have still not offered our email address contact details.
Tough luck, you will have to go a bit further as we really want you to be 100% informed.

4 - FOURTH STEP ]
Pete will pass the details you send us on to one of the dentists and will get a probable appointment date and more important, the treatment time needed for your visit.
Also any remarks or suggestions from the dentists will also be translated and this information will then be e-mailed back to you. (and so on)

At this stage if you are still with us - we will e-mail you contact details of dental patients who have been here recently so that you can directly ask them about our services, about Pete and above all about the quality of dental treatment in the Czech Republic.

5 - FIFTH STEP ]
Once you have been mailed back confirming the treatment with a probable appointment date - you can mail us confirming your intent on coming to Kromeriz or Zlin (depends on which dentist is available - all are top class dentists) and we will confirm your intended arrival with the dentist in question and your appointment is booked.
We will also assist you with your accommodation details and travel arrangements from the airport.

Once decided on coming, by this point you will already have Pete's direct mobile number and now we will need your mobile number too.
This so that we can contact you during your arrival, and especially during your dental stay in Kromeriz.

Please remember that the dental appointment organization fee of

is payable only AFTER you decide to go ahead with any dental treatment.

If for example you come on a first visit ....... where you get a panoramic x-ray (even if you sent us one this is inclusive and usefull for the dentist as it will be in perfect digital quality ) ... a thorough check-up, your dental plan is structured and also you receive an accurate cost quote for the actual dental treatment that you will be getting [ same prices as in our dental treatment price list but oviously tailored to your particular dental situation and dental plan ].... and you do not get any further dental treatment which may be on your second visit at a later date - you do NOT pay the organization fee.

OPTION 'X'
Due to the problematics of getting x-rays to send us, or not understanding properly what the dental treatment might be - quite a lot of our dental patients opt to fly over here for 1 day in which they get the panoramic x-ray, a proper examination, a dental plan with a timeline of how many visits, when, and a dental treatment costs list for that dental treatment plan.
Arrival say on a Sunday, dental examination and x-ray Monday morning, departure on Monday afternoon.

This initial visit can also be used to check out the dentists, the surgeries and top notch dental equipment, to be assured of the costs (which do not change once you arrive here ) to get a second opinion as opposed to what you may have been told back home and in general to get an idea of the set up here.

Then come back at a later date for the dental treatment proper.

This actually is a good solution considering how cheap Ryanair flights are from Stansted to Brno.

Also - recently some people have preffered to fly to Bratislava in Slovakia - 2 hours distant.

So if you have any doubts, can't get an x-ray, think Czech dentists have two heads - then go for this.
If you opt for this pre-treatment visit, the x-rays and examination, dental plan etc. all together costs :

( in Ireland only the panoramic x-ray - if you're lucky to get one to take away will cost you Euro 100+ )

Quite often, even during this first examination, if you so desire - the dentist can get in some work that is urgent.

For example: if you need some teeth extracting before getting a bridge or implants - this can be done ( the extractions ) on this first visit and allows you then 8 weeks or more for the gums to heal after which you could come back and get the rest done.
Same for urgent fillings, teeth cleaning or root canal treatment.
These small 'jobs' can be planned into the first exploratory visit without much notice.

There is no particular booking time for initial exploratory dental appointment visits.
5 day pre-warning that you are arriving is enough.
Arrive in the evening, next morning dental visit, departure that same afternoon.

So please be precise when you send in a request for dental treatment in Kromeriz or Zlin.

This is the ONLY way to inform us (and the Czech dentists we work with) of the exact details of any dental treatment you might need.

If you send us an e-mail with just a generic description such as 'I need some crowns', you will not receive a reply.

If you have not read the information about our services and dental treatment costs and treatment descriptions on this website you will be wasting yours and our time if you just phone up for a quote or other information which has been painstakingly included in these dental pages on this website.
