International dental patients now have the option to come over for a one day visit without much prior notice.
One day warning is enough.
These initial exploratory visits are useful if you can't get an x-ray from your dentist, think that Czech dentists have two heads or you don't know what exactly you need doing, and also to check out the dentists, our organization service and above all to get a good dental plan and maybe a beter second opinion.
With cheap daily Ryanair flights from Stansted to Brno, this is a very viable option to start with.
The actual dental costs for such a visit which includes a panoramic x-ray are 34 Euro

How to use our
organization of dental treatment appointments services assistance

 

This section describes the dental treatment assistance services that we offer to anyone in need of dental treatment in the Czech Republic in Kromeriz or Zlin who would like to be assisted.

We now work with four dentists.
Two in Zlin and two in Kromeriz and depending on which one has available dental appointment time we will get your treatment booked with that dentist.

There are now daily flights - even during the winter - back and forth from Stansted to Brno with Ryan air.
Brno is 65 km from Kromeriz and 99 km from Zlin.
Most of our Irish, Scottish and UK dental patients use these flights.

GETTING DENTAL TREATMENT IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC IN KROMERIZ AND ZLIN:

The procedure is as follows:

Visit your local dentist and get him to explain to you all the technicalities and costs (for your own comparison) of the work you need done. You don't have to tell him that you're going elsewhere to save money.
We suggest you do tell him.
If your dentist is honest and fair she will understand your need to save money but will still offer useful advice and a correct analysis of what you need doing.

[[[ Unfortunately, we have since discovered that many UK and Irish dentist hate to be told that their patients are going elsewhere to get much better, more humane, faster and cheaper dental treatment.
In some cases these same dentists have refused to give the patient their x-rays which the patient has already paid for.]]]

You should be aware of the fact that if your local dentist has done an x-ray on you - and you have paid for it - the dentist is OBLIGED by law to submitting that x-ray to you.

If paid for - the actual x-ray belongs to you and you are free to take it away.
If he refuses - you have the right to report him to the UK/Scottish/Irish/anywhere in the World dentistry association, the local council, your local MP, and even the health ministry.
Try saying the above statement to your dentist and watch in amazement as he hands over your x-ray.

UK dentists are now claiming that they have to keep your x-ray for their records for up to two years.
Absolute codswallop!
Most dentists actually offer the service to get just an x-ray done - which obviously costs a fortune in the UK.

If you absolutely cannot get an x-ray, or are worried about upsetting your dentist (and you will believe us) - then don't worry - you can get the x-rays done here, but it does help the Czech dentists in being able to offer you a more exact analysis and cost quote if they get your x-ray before you plan your dental treatment in the Czech Republic.

Send the treatment details you got from your dentist to us via
e-mail to.

X-rays, as mentioned above, are useful if you can get them ... but:
If you are sending x-rays then please format them into .jpg format and do not send 2 MB of file.
A .jpg file should not be larger than 200k.

If you also manage to zip the file before e-mailing it - you will automatically qualify for a few glasses of a 14 year old Slivovitz once you arrive in Kromeriz or Zlin as our sign of appreciation that you did not make us download your x-rayed jaw image for a whole afternoon.

Also please include the probable/plausible dates when you think you would like to arrive in Kromeriz or Zlin.

And if you have read the dental services description page you will have noted that some treatments can be done right away, others may need a wait of 3 to 4 days between the first and second session and others may include a healing period of up to 3 to 5 month.
So do plan your visit or more visits accordingly.

Also ...please make sure that YOU understand any gobbledygook your dentist has written down for you concerning your dental treatment requirements before sending us a list of dental treatment in Latin.

If this is not crystal clear to you - how do you expect us to understand it ?

Pete will pass these details on to one of the dentists and will get a probable appointment date and more important, the treatment time needed for your visit.
Also any remarks or suggestions from the dentists will also be translated and this information will then be e-mailed back to you. (and so on)

At this stage if you are still with us - we will e-mail you contact details of dental patients who have been here recently so that you can directly ask them about our services, about Pete and above all about the quality of dental treatment in the Czech Republic.

5)
Once you have been mailed back confirming the treatment with a probable appointment date - you can mail us confirming your intent on coming to Kromeriz or Zlin (depends on which dentist is available - all are top class dentists) and we will confirm your intended arrival with the dentist in question and your appointment is booked.
We will also assist you with your accommodation details and travel arrangements from the airport.

Please remember that the dental appointment organization fee of
Czech Crowns 6.000 [Euro 207 ] is payable after your first initial visit to the dentist where you get a thorough check-up, your dental plan is structured and also you receive an accurate cost quote for the actual dental treatment that you will be getting [ same prices as in our dental treatment price list but oviously tailored to your particular dental situation and dental plan ].

OPTION 'X'
Due to the problematics of getting x-rays to send us, or not understanding properly what the dental treatment might be - quite a lot of our dental patients opt to fly over here for 1 day in which they get the panoramic x-ray, a proper examination, a dental plan with a timeline of how many visits, when, and a dental treatment costs list for that dental treatment plan.

This initial visit can also be used to check out the dentists, the surgeries and top notch dental equipment, to be assured of the costs (which do not change once you arrive here ) to get a second opinion as opposed to what you may have been told back home and in general to get an idea of the set up here.

Then come back at a later date for the dental treatment proper.

This actually is a good solution considering how cheap Ryanair flights are from Stansted to Brno.

So if you have any doubts, can't get an x-ray, think Czech dentists have two heads - then go for this.
If you opt for this pre-treatment visit, the x-rays and examination, dental plan etc. all together costs 34 Euro.

Quite often, even during this first examination, if you so desire - the dentist can get in some work that is urgent. For example: if you need some teeth extracting before getting a bridge or implants - this can be done on this first visit and allows you then 8 weeks or more for the gums to heal after which you could come back and get the rest done.
Same for urgent fillings, teeth cleaning or root canal treatment.
These small 'jobs' can be planned into the first exploratory visit without much notice.

There is no particular booking time for initial exploratory dental appointment visits.
2 day pre-warning that you are arriving is enough.
Arrive in the evening, next morning dental visit, departure that same afternoon.

The dentists in Kromeriz and Zlin do not hike prices.
Prices of treatment are those stated in our price section and if you know exactly what needs to be done - then you can easily work out the cost for yourself using our dental costs and dental treatment in the Czech Republic.

Sometimes the dentist will add a suggestion or two but this is then up to you.
For example, one Scottish patient came to have two ceramic crowns done and the dentist told him that he could have a three crown bridge done instead in the same time period but with an additional cost of 100 Euro.
Basically nearly the same as having 3 separate crowns.
The patient thought this a great idea and as his local dentist had told him that doing this would mean too much fiddling around and would cost a fortune.

So he left Kromeriz with 3 new teeth instead of only two.


Cost for treatment
or dentist time ?
For dental work in Kromeriz and/or Zlin, the costs are for the work done and not for any time spent in doing it.
So if a crown takes 2 appointments or 5 - you still pay the listed price for 1 crown and not the extra dental work and time needed.

In general - for any dentistry work done in Zlin/Kromeriz - from fillings to crowns or implants - the cost is up to 5 times cheaper than if done in the UK, Scotland. Ireland, USA, Germany, Italy, Switzerland etc.

In Prague, dental treatment costs are at least three times as much as in Kromeriz or Zlin.

It's your choice and teeth and with all the information on this web site you could probably fly to Prague, rent a car and drive 100 km out of Prague to the next largest town and find a decent dentist all on your own.
But even Czech dentists have booked out schedules so you may get a surprise if you just turn up at any dentist.

TRATTAMENTO DENTISTICO AL
STUDIO DENTISTICO DI KROMERIZ:

La procedura è la seguente:

1)
Se non lo avete già fatto, vedete la sezione dei costi e servizi dentistici offerti
Trattamento dentistico Ceco e listino prezzi.

2)
Visitate il vostro dentista e fatevi spiegare di cosa esattamente avete bisogno - quale trattamento e quanto costi (per poter paragonare i costi).
Non dovete per forza spiegare al dentista che andrete altrove per questo trattamento ma noi suggeriamo che gli spiegate tutto.
Se avete un dentista ragionevole ed onesto - comprenderà la vostra ragione di voler risparmiare - e vi spiegherà tutto in modo corretto con consigli utili.

3)
Spediteci per e-mail il trattamento che ora sapete vi servirà:

Raggi-X sarebbero utili se riuscite ad ottenerli.
Ma se ci spedite dei raggi-X allora gentilmente convertiteli in formato .jpg e non spedite file di 2 MB.
Un .jpg non dovrebbe essere più pesante di 200 k.

Se riuscite anche a zipparlo prima di spedire - riceverete automaticamente qualche bicchierino di ottimo Slivovitz di 12 anni di annata al vostro arrivo a Kromeriz come segno di gratitudine da parte nostra nel non averci fatto buttare un intero pomeriggio a scaricare il vostro file e immagine dei vostri denti.

Includete anche le probabili/possibili date quando credete di voler arrivare a Kromeriz

E se avete letto la sezione descrittiva sui servizi dentistici avrete notato che alcuni trattamenti si possono fare subito, altri con una pausa di 3 o 4 giorni di intermezzo prima del secondo appuntamento ed altri anche con periodi di guarigione dai 3 fino ai 5 mesi.
Per cui progettate la vostra visita in modo consequenziale a questi tempi.

Ed anche ... assicuratevi che VOI stessi comprendete ciò che vi ha spiegato il vostro dentista a quanto quello che vi serve prima di spedirci un elenco di trattamenti dentistici in latino.

Pete passerà questi dettagli a Pavla o Ivana la quale li inoltrerà (tradotti) al dentista di Kromeriz e riceverà indietro un probabile possibile appuntamento e più importante, i tempi necessari per il trattamento.

Anche qualsiasi appunto o commento dal dentista sarà tradotto e tutta questa informazione vi sarà rispedita via e-mail.

Una volta che avete ricevuto la conferma di tutto - potete riscriverci confermando il vostro intento di venire a Kromeriz e noi confermeremo questo col dentista ed il vostro appuntamento dentistico è prenotato.
A questo punto riceverete il nostro nr di telefono nel caso che vorreste parlare con un essere umano.

Questo perchè durante prima fase nel comprendere quale servizio dentistico vi occorre - anche se ci telefonaste non potremo rispondere a domande tecniche dato che noi non siamo dei dentisti e solo dopo che otteniamo le info indietro dal dentista e inoltrati a voi - vorreste forse telefonarci per vedere se esistiamo o per ricevere assistenza nel prenotare un albergo o altre domande generiche che potreste avere.

Ricordate che la tariffa di Euro 207 per la organizzazione del vostro appuntamento dentistico è pagabile solo dopo la visita iniziale dal dentista quando sarete visitati, riceverete una radiografia panoramica, e dove viene stabilito un piano per il vostro trattamento, ed anche un costo preciso del trattamento dentistico intero.

Il dentista non rialza i prezzi.
Prezzi di trattamenti sono quelli specificati nel nostro settore costi dentistici e trattamenti nella Repubblica Ceca e se sapete cosa vi occorre potete arrivare al costo finale facilmente da soli.

Alcune volte il dentista offrirà qualche suggerimento ma la scelta finale sta a voi.

Per esempio, un paziente Scozzese venne per farsi fare due capsule/corone ed il dentista gli suggerì che potrebbe farsi fare anche un ponte a tre capsule (denti) per lo stesso tempo di intervento ma con un costo extra di 100 Euro.
Infatti quasi uguale come farsi fare 3 corone separate.
Il paziente era d'accordo e non aveva chiesto da solo per questo tipo di sistemazione dato che il suo dentista gli aveva detto che in questo modo l'intervento sarebbe stato più impegnativo e costerebbe un patrimonio.

Così il paziente partì da Kromeriz con 3 denti nuovi invece di solo due ed ebbe molto meno trappanature ed altro che se si sarebbe fatto metter solo le due corone come previsto.
Un ponte viene cementato sui denti esistenti e questo necessità meno trappanaggio e nemmeno la vite come per mettere delle capsule.

Costo per trattamento o per mano d'opera del dentista ?
Per lavori dentistici a Kromeriz i costi sono per il risultato finale per cui se il trattamento per una capsula di ceramica impegna 3 o 5 appuntamenti, pagate comunque solo la capsula e non 3 o 5 appuntamenti (come si fa in Italia per esempio - ed ecco perchè in Italia il trattamento viene esteso più che possibile dai dentisti.)

In genere - per lavoro dentistici fatti a Kromeriz - da otturazioni a capsule fino agli implantati, il costo è fino a 5 volte più economico che in UK, USA, Italia, Svizzera, Germania, ecc.

La scelta sta a voi ed i denti sono vostri e con tutte le informazioni che avete letto finora potreste volare a Praga, noleggiare un'auto e andare ca 100 km fuori Praga alla prossima grande cittadina a trovarvi un dentista per fatti vostri.
